It’s 1987. Harris McKenzie is a transplant to Chicago. Moved there with his (ex) girlfriend more for her than for him. Then she cheated on him, and now Harris slogs through his weeks at a long distance telephone call service while doing whatever he can to escape reality on the weekends through his love of film.
One of his late night weekend movie obsessions is the new counter girl, April. Instantly smitten, Harris hopes that there might be a glimmer of hope in his life with this spunky, independent gal.
One night at the video store, a mysterious Hooded Man appears with a box of random videotapes. What happens next will change the course of Harris’s life, and those around him, forever.
