But as he delves deeper into who she really is and the questions begin to pile up, Jacob is gradually drawn into a rabbit hole of otherworldly creatures, ghosts, psychics and secret organisations.
And it quickly becomes apparent that Amahdalia might be even more of a dangerous enigma than the disease he needs her help to survive.
